Through ,Ìýwe provide donations of time and resources to serve, support and strengthen our communities so we can make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. Our three areas of focus are education, health and community development.

18HÂþ»­ Cares is our employee volunteer program that enables our 18HÂþ»­ team members to engage with our partner organizations locally and support our efforts through volunteerism, donations and matching gifts. Read Conmigo

ÌýADVANCING BILINGUAL LITERACY FOR LATINO STUDENTS

In 2022, The 18HÂþ»­ Foundation announced its commitment to support bilingual (Spanish-English) elementary education teachers and their students through Read Conmigo, a new grant program for K-5 teachers in bilingual classroom settings. We will annually award 100 grants of $3,000 to teachers to support their bilingual learning environments. Advancing The 18HÂþ»­ Foundation’s mission to make a meaningful difference in our communities, the program aims to provide needed tools, resources and supplies for the classroom, and professional development opportunities for teachers.

The 18HÂþ»­ Foundation is proud to support teachers in the education, inspiration, and success of Latino children.

18HÂþ»­ Scholars Program

ÌýDEVELOPING THE NEXT GENERATION OF LEADERS

Since 1948, the 18HÂþ»­ Scholars Program has been preparing college students for leadership and service in the business world. The program has awarded over 2,000 scholarships to help students develop into strong leaders with rewarding careers. Today, the 18HÂþ»­ Scholars Program has evolved to provide need-based scholarships, mentoring, and career navigation resources to assist high potential, diverse college students with a strong interest in insurance and financial services careers.

In 2022, The 18HÂþ»­ Foundation announced it was committing $4.5 million to the next generation of its 18HÂþ»­ Scholars Program. The program will award 650 scholarships over the next five years to high-achieving, diverse college students at 10 universities, including six Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSIs). The program also provides financial grants to professors pursuing academic initiatives and to on-campus diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I) programs. In addition, The 18HÂþ»­ Foundation will partner with 18HÂþ»­ to offer over 325 internships to partner schools over the next five years.
